About: Celebrity Driveways & Star Driveways
My father was stationed in Germany the same time Elvis Presley was. I was born in March 1960 just as Elvis was discharged from the Army. Growing up my father worked in the LA area and met a lot of well known celebrities. My father would drive me around celebrity homes and tell me stories about the celebrities he met. Since I can remember my favorite celebrity has always been Elvis Presley and would love driving by his LA homes. When I was in the second grade when Elvis married Priscilla I was real bummed because I was hoping to marry him some day. The greatest part of my childhood was watching Elvis movies and seeing Elvis in the 1968 comeback special. Watching the movies of Elvis live in concert even made me more wanting to see and meet Elvis. I did get to see Elvis in concert in Long Beach 1976 and Elvis driving up in his limo in the back of the Anaheim convention center in 1976. If only Elvis could have been alive in 1978 when I turned 18 because that was my dream to meet Elvis when I was 18. My plan was to drive up to Graceland or meet him back stage in Las Vegas. Foolish me wanted to wait until I was an adult. Elvis died 7 months before my 18th birthday. Having many relatives in Germany the first thing they always wanted to know about was celebrities, where they live and where do they go. When my relatives would visit the first thing they wanted was a tour of celebrity homes. Everytime I had an adventure driving by a stars home I always had an exciting story to tell about who I met and who invited me into their home. Things have changed since the 1960's, 1970's, 1980's and 1990's. I wish back in the days I would have videotaped the fun I had and experiences but since 2003 I created what I have been able to see and experience to share what so many from all over the world would like to see but can't. Driving by celebrity homes in Beverly Hills all you see are gates and driveways and that's how it was named Celebrity Driveways & Star Driveways. I do respect the privacy of the stars and do not invade it or reveal where they live.
